youtube help

You will need a YouTube account for uploading videos.

In order to have a video displayed in this section you must first upload it to your YouTube account.

If you don't have a YouTube account it's free and easy to sign up - go to www.youtube.com/create_account

Once you have signed up, if you have a webcam or videocam connected to your computer, you can record a video and upload it directly to YouTube. Click YouTube Help for a Youtube Help page that tells you how to do it.

Once you have uploaded your video to YouTube:

1. Go to your YouTube Account and watch the video you want to link to
2. In YouTube look at the URL box on the right and copy the url (web address) - it will be similar to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2sDdUx4eec
The letters at the end will be different - they are unique and indientify the video.
3. Login to this website (you must be registered)
4. Paste the url into the 'YouTube Url' box in the Comment form on the lesson comments pages. You can only see this once you are logged in.
5. It will automatically turn into a video link when your message is published.

For more information and help see the lesson comments pages when you are logged in.

Video Notes

The quality of a video streamed from the web, can depend on your computer settings, the speed and quality of your internet connection and even the time of day.

If you need to improve the sound quality - using a headset may help.
